SHA Works

Overview

SHA Works offered training in the construction and skilled trades to youth living in Seattle Housing Authority and section 8 houses. SHA Works actively recruited at-risk youth for enrollment in a four to five-month building trades program. Training focused on painting and carpentry as well as other trades where demand for entry level workers is high. Port Jobs funded SHA Works through a grant from the Seattle Housing Authority from November 1998 to April 2000.
